Silk Road Dinner Series | Chef Julie Truong

Madrina, the Italian- American neighborhood restaurant in Webster Groves, will host the Silk Road Dinner Series, a three-part dinner experience celebrating diversity in the St. Louis culinary space. The Silk Road Dinner Series will be hosted monthly beginning on Wednesday, June 18, through August. Helmed by Executive Chef Tim Adams, the series brings together some of St. Louis’ most celebrated culinary talents. Part 1 with Chef Julie Troung of DD Mau blending Vietnamese and Italian flavors. Inspired by the famous trade route pioneered by Marco Polo, the Silk Road Dinner Series explores the combination of cultures throughout Europe and Asia. What started as a migration and shift within the culinary landscape has come to inspire a bigger goal to represent diversity and cultural celebration in St. Louis. The Silk Road Dinner Series will highlight various regions along the historic Silk Road through ingredients, techniques, and recipes passed down by generations of chefs before.
